Web Development 1: HTML & CSS
HTML is the foundational grammar of the World Wide Web. Together with CSS, HTML provides the backbone for all web pages. In this class, we’ll introduce the core concepts of web design and HTML that are applicable across a wide array of disciplines and web-based endeavors. We’ll structure the workshop around the construction of a simple, three-page website.
Next-Level Powerpoint
We've all been forced to sit through really boring and ineffective presentations. PowerPoint doesn't have to be that way! We'll share and practice using design tips to help you transform your presentations from boring to brilliant. This class uses the Windows version of PowerPoint but there is significant overlap for mac users.
DaVinci Resolve: Getting Started
DaVinci Resolve is a free, professional-level video editing program compatible with both Mac and Windows computers. Equipped with industry-standard color correction, it’s your gateway to professional editing. In this workshop, we’ll walk you through the basics you’ll need to get started on your own projects.
Video Production 2: Lighting and Sound
Enhance your visual storytelling through a deeper understanding of light and sound. We’ll go over tips for using lighting instruments and additional microphones for your production. These skills work with high definition video cameras, DSLRs in video mode, or your smartphone; and will help take your video to the next level.
R Series | R Series Workshop Guides
The R series will introduce participants to the fundamentals of using the R programming language and associated tools for the purposes of performing common data analysis tasks.
This series consists of four video tutorials. For individuals who are new to R, it is highly recommended that the tutorials be attended in sequential order. No prior experience with programming, coding, or scripting necessary.
SPSS Series | SPSS Series Workshop Guides
The SPSS 1 and SPSS 2 tutorials in this two-part series focus on using the point-and-click method for using SPSS; the syntax/code method is introduced briefly.
Stata Series | Stata Series Workshop Guides
A three-part workshop series for the Windows version of Stata that completes all analysis using code. No previous knowledge of coding is required.
Python & Data Series | Python & Data Series Workshop Guides
The Python & Data series will introduce participants to the fundamentals of using the Python programming language and associated tools for the purposes of performing common data analysis tasks.

Python for Machine Learning Series | Python & Data Series Workshop Guides
This applied Machine Learning (ML) series introduces participants to the fundamentals of supervised learning and provides experience in applying several ML algorithms in Python.
This series consists of three (3) tutorials. For individuals who are new to Python and/or Google Colab, it is highly recommended that you first complete the prerequisite Python & Data Series 0-3 tutorials and complete this series in sequential order. No prior experience with programming, coding, or scripting necessary.

NVivo for Team Coding | NVivo Workshop Guides
This tutorial is on using NVivo qualitative data analysis software to do team work / team coding in NVivo involving 2 or more people. It will cover various strategies for tracking team members’ work in NVivo and comparing coding, including generating inter-rater reliability measures.
