Python Scripting: Intro to Programming

Python is an amazing scripting language with an easy-to-understand syntax that is heavily used by programmers in fields ranging from web development to data science. It is a great first language for people who want to get into programming because of its English-like syntax and forgiving nature.

Workshop Topics

  • Understanding the basic programming concepts.
  • Performing operations with variables.
  • Using conditionals to change the way the program behaves.
  • Running Python scripts from the command line.
Prerequisites: Willingness to learn, and intermediate computer skills. Previous programming experience is a plus, but not required.
You will need a valid CampusID to log in and use the software for this course.
