Python 2: Advanced Coding

Python is an amazing scripting language with an easy-to-understand syntax that is heavily used by programmers in fields ranging from web development to data science. It is a great first language for people who want to get into programming because of its English-like syntax and forgiving nature. Part 2 uses the knowledge from Part 1 to build a project. We’ll introduce new topics to build a basic banking system project that makes use of these new skills. You’ll want to showcase this in your portfolio.

Workshop Topics

  • Using loops to perform the same lines of code for multiple iterations
  • Understanding the basics of object-oriented programming
  • Understanding and using classes and functions
Prerequisites: Python: Intro to Coding or a willingness to learn, and intermediate computer skills. Previous programming experience is a plus, but not required.
