GIS 2: Intro to Geocoding Sets of Addresses

Geocoding is the process of transforming street addresses into latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates so that the addresses can be accurately displayed on digital mapping applications. There are several geocoding tools available and this workshop will cover these tools and will help you decide which one best meets the needs of your project.

  • Geocoding addresses to exact latitudinal and longitudinal points
  • Geocoding addresses to census tracts or block groups
Prerequisites: No prior experience necessary.
