Virtual Computing Lab

The Virtual Computing Lab is being replaced with an updated tool. Go to technology.gsu.edu/vlab to begin using the new vLab.

The VCL is planned to be decommissioned February 22, 2019. Please update your links and plan accordingly to use the new vLab.

The Virtual Computing Lab (VCL) helps students and faculty in meeting educational objectives by providing maximum availability and flexibility, via a web based virtual computing interface. VCL is configured on a cloud computing platform; enabling students and faculty virtual access to lab and classroom software typically only available while on campus in a lab or via individual software purchase and installation.
If you are using the VCL from off campus, you will need to connect using Georgia State’s VPN.

Please Note: At this time, VCL is targeted only for specific classes with specialized software (SAS 9.2, SPSS 20, Matlab 2013a, R 2.13.1, PyDSTool, IBM Rational, and ArcGIS 10.1).
