Installing the VPN with AnyConnect on Mac

Overview

This document describes how to install Cisco AnyConnect Virtual Private Network (VPN) profile for Mac OS X.

Requirements

  • Mac OS X 10.10.5 or later
  • Your CampusID and CampusID Password
  • NOTE: IF you have forgotten your CampusID password, visit campusid.gsu.edu.

Configure the Georgia State Virtual Private Network

Set Up the Virtual Private Network

  1. Click here to download the GSU VPN configuration profile.
  2. If System Preferences does not open automatically, find and open GSU VPN Configuration.zip in your Downloads folder, then open the GSU-Mac-AnyConnect-VPN.mobileconfig file.
  3. In the Profiles window that appears, click Continue.

  4. When asked if you’d like to install the GSU VPN Settings profile, click Continue.

  5. Enter your CampusID and CampusID password and click Install.

Connecting and Disconnecting

  1. Click the Apple Icon in the top left-hand corner and select System Preferences.

  2. Select GSU AnyConnect from the list at the left and check the Show VPN status in menu bar checkbox.

  3. To Connect, click the VPN Icon in the top toolbar and select Connect GSU AnyConnect.

  4. To Disconnect, click the VPN Icon in the top toolbar and select Disconnect GSU VPN.

Remove the Virtual Private Network

  1. Click the Apple Icon in the top left-hand corner and select System Preferences.

  2. Click Profiles.

  3. Select GSU VPN Settings and click the minus icon.

  4. When prompted, click Remove.
