Forwarding Voicemail to E-mail on Avaya Telephones

Overview

This document covers the steps to forward your voicemail to an e-mail account or mobile device. Messages delivered via GSU’s Enhanced Voice Messaging (EVM) can be viewed from any device with an e-mail address including desktops, laptops, cell phones, and PDA’s.

  • 5 Digits of Your Campus Phone Number

Steps to Forward Voicemail to an E-mail Account

NOTE: You can only register for the EVM service and make changes to existing subscriptions while on campus, or by connecting to the Virtual Private Network from off campus.
  1. Go to https://evm.gsu.edu/
  2. In the EVMLogin dialog box:
    A. Enter 5 digits campus phone number in the Mailbox field.
    B. Enter password in the Voicemail Password field.
    C. Click Login.
  3. Click the Add Device button.
  4. On the EVM Plus Screen:
    A. Select Desktop EVM in the Device Type field.
    B. Enter the E-mail Address in the Email Address field.
    C. Select Preference for receiving message.
    D. Select Fax and Voice Files Format.

    NOTE: Select WAV in audio format for Windows and select MP3 in audio format for MAC

    E. Click Save.

Steps to Forward Voicemail to a Mobile Device

  1. Go to https://evm.gsu.edu/
  2. In the EVMLogin dialog box:
    A. Enter your 5 digit campus phone number in the Mailbox field.
    B. Enter your password in the Voicemail Password field.
    C. Click Next.
  3. Click the Add Device button.
  4. In the EVMPlus Screen:
    A. Select Cellular EVM in the Device Type field.
    B. Enter your phone number in the Phone Number field.
    C. Choose Preference for receiving message.
    D. Click Save.
