This document lists the steps to connect to the GSU VPN using Cisco AnyConnect on an Android device.

Steps to Use AnyConnect with an Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. In the Play Store screen:
    1. Search for AnyConnect
    2. Tap and download AnyConnect ICS
  3. Locate and tap the AnyConnect app to open it.
  4. Tap Add New VPN Connection…
  5. In the Connection Editor screen:
    1. Tap Description and type GSU
    2. Tap Server Address and type secureaccess.gsu.edu
    3. Tap Done to save your settings
  6. Tap GSU to initiate the VPN connection.
  7. In the AnyConnect information screen:
    1. Tap the Group menu, and choose “Off Campus”
    2. Tap Username and enter your CampusID
    3. Tap Password and enter your CampusID password
    4. Tap OK to enable the VPN connection
  8. In the Attention pop-up window:
    1. Tap I trust this application
      NOTE: For other applications you install, DO NOT accept unless you trust the application. Otherwise you run the risk of having your data compromised by malicious software.
    2. Tap OK

NOTE: You should hear an audible confirmation of connection, and you should see “Connected at GSU,” as shown in the following image.


Steps to Disconnect the AnyConnect VPN

  1. Tap AnyConnect VPN to disconnect from the VPN.
