Manually Set Up Your Apple iOS Device for Eduroam

Overview

This document describes how to manually connect to the Eduroam wireless network with Apple’s iOS. The procedure includes screenshots from an iPad. The steps, and in general the images, are exactly the same for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Requirements

  • iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Your Campus email address and CampusID password
    NOTE: If you have forgotten your CampusID password, you can reset it at campusid.gsu.edu. If you still cannot resolve your issue, contact the IIT Technology Service Desk at help@gsu.edu, or phone at 404-413-HELP (404-413-4357)

Steps to Connect to Eduroam with Apple’s iOS

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Under Settings Window:
    1. Tap Wi-Fi menu
    2. Tap Eduroam

  3. Enter your Campus email address and CampusID password, then tap Join.

  4. Tap Accept when prompted to accept the Access Point’s certificate.
    NOTE: The screen will say “Not Verified”, ignore this warning.
    NOTE: You should now see a checkmark next to “Eduroam” as well as an active wireless radio icon in the top left of your iOS device. Setup is now complete.
