Connect to Eduroam Automatically on Windows

Overview

This document describes how to install the Eduroam Configuration Assistant tool (CAT) on a Windows 7 or Windows 10 operating system, to automatically connect to Eduroam when you arrive at an institution that hosts the network. The procedure includes screenshots from a Window’s computer.

Requirements

  • Computer with Windows 7 or Windows 10 operating system
  • Your Campus email address address and your CampusID password
    NOTE: If you have forgotten your CampusID password, you can reset it at campusid.gsu.edu. If you still cannot resolve your issue, contact the IIT Technology Service Desk at help@gsu.edu, or phone at 404-413-HELP (404-413-4357)

Installing the Eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool

  1. Go to the Eduroam CAT website.
  2. Your computer should automatically suggest correct version of your Windows. Click Download your eduroam installer.

    If you need another version of Eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool, click All platforms to view the list of all available versions of the software.

  3. Once finished, find and open the Downloaded file.
    NOTE: Download is usually named “eduroam-W7-GSU.exe“. May appear as a different name.
  4. Click Run in the Open File – Security Warning window.
  5. Click Next in the Eduroam Installer window.
  6. Click OK in the following Eduroam Installer window.
  7. In the next Eduroam Installer window:
    1. Enter your Campus email address as your username
    2. Enter your Campus ID Password
    3. Re-enter your Campus ID Password
    4. Click Install

    NOTE: An additional installation window (pictured below) may appear. Once finished, it will automatically close.
  8. Click Finish.
