Associated Service Wireless Network


University faculty and staff can sponsor a guest’s wireless account, or create accounts in advance of a guest’s arrival on campus. Campus guest should connect to the Internet using Georgia State’s Guest Wireless network, GSU-Guest.

NOTE: Please only approve accounts for guests who you know and are willing to sponsor. If you receive a request from a guest you do not know, do not approve the account.

If you no longer wish to be a sponsor for guest wireless accounts, please fill out and submit our sponsor opt out form.

Creating Guest Account to Connect to Campus Wireless

Create a Guest Account for an Individual or Event

NOTE: Guest wireless accounts will remain active for one (1) week after their activation date
  1. Go to guestwireless.gsu.edu and log in with your CampusID and Password.
  2. Click Create new guest account.
  3. On the Create Individual Account page:
    1. Enter the Guest’s Name or your event name. (optional)
    2. Enter the guest’s Company or the organization from which they are visiting (optional)
    3. Enter your Guest’s or your event’s Username
    4. Select the date you want your guest’s account to activate. The account will stay active for one week after this start date.
    5. Enter Guest’s Password
    6. Check the Agreement Box.
    7. Click Create Account.
  4. The Guest Username, password, and expiration date are displayed.
  5. To Login to campus wireless, your guest will need to select GSU-Guest from the list of their wireless networks on campus. Then, have them enter their Guest Username and Password.

Approve a Guest Account Request

NOTE: Guest accounts will be active for one (1) week from the time they are approved
  1. Click the Approval link in the notification email you receive when a guest submits a guest account request.
  2. Log in to the Wireless Sponsor portal with your CampusID and password.
  3. In the Visitor Registration Receipt box, click Confirm.

Manage Your Guest Accounts

  1. Click List Accounts.
  2. Click the Guest’s Name of the account you wish to alter. You can then choose to reset a guest’s password, remove their account, or print their account information.
