Connect to Wireless using XpressConnect for Mac

Overview

This document details the steps to connect to Georgia State’s wireless network, CatChat2x, using XpressConnect on a Mac.

Connect to Wireless using XpressConnect for Mac

  1. Open a browser.
  2. In the Campus Log In page that appears, sign in with your CampusID and Password.

  3. Go to wireless.gsu.edu.
  4. Click Set Up Your Device.

  5. Check the Agreement Box and then click Start.

  6. Click Allow.

  7. When a pop-up window appears, click Allow.

  8. In the Configure Window:
    1. Enter your CampusID and Password
    2. Click Continue

  9. If prompted, enter your computer’s Administrator Name and Password.

  10. Click Done.

  11. Click the airport-icon icon and be sure you are connected to CatChat2x.

  12. If you are not connected to CatChat2x, click Open Network Preferences at the bottom of the Airport drowpdown list.

  13. Select CatChat2x from the Network Name dropdown. After you are connected, click Advanced.

  14. Select CatChat2x in the Preferred Networks section and drag it to the top of the list. Then click OK.
