Using Lync Online

This post details how to use Microsoft Lync online from inside your Office 365 mailbox.

Using Lync from your Office 365 mailbox

Adding New Contacts in Lync

  1. Log into your email account through the web.
  2. Click People.

  3. On the people window:
    1. Enter the User’s Name to add
    2. Click the User’s Name
    3. Click Add Contacts


Starting a Chat

  1. Sign in to Lync using your CampusID e-mail address and CampusID password.
  2. Click the User’s Name and then click Chat

Removing Contacts in Lync

  1. Click the User’s Name and then Click Delete


Changing Status and Log Out

  1. Log In to your Campus Mail
  2. Click Your Name to change your status
  3. Click Sign Out from IM to log out of Lync
