Install or Renew SAS

If you have never installed SAS before, you can download and install the software from our download site, gsu.onthehub.com.

If you have already installed SAS and are looking for an updated SAS Data file, please follow the following steps:

  1. Go through the steps to download the SAS version you need from our download site. At the end, however, select the second download link in order to download the data file.

    NOTE: If you’ve already downloaded SAS before using our download site, you can access SAS and retrieve the data files by clicking Your Account/Orders

  2. Find the .zip file in your downloads folder and open it.
  3. Drag the data file onto your desktop, or open and save it to a place you will remember.
  4. Close SAS.
  5. Click Start.
  6. Click Programs.
  7. Select SAS and select SAS 9.1 Utilities.
    NOTE: The version number varies depending on your installation.
  8. Right click Renew SAS Software and select Run as Administrator.
  9. Browse to the SAS Data file that you downloaded in step 4.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Verify the operating system and SAS products and click OK.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Renew.
If the license renewal was successful, the following message will be displayed:
The setinit was successfully applied.
