License Activation and Renewal

To install and use GSU’s university-licensed SAS software, you will need to configure the software with a SAS Data file provided to the right.

To renew your SAS license, follow the instructions below.

  1. Click the link to the appropriate SAS Data file for your version of SAS and the appropriate operating system for your computer.
  2. Enter your CampusID and CampusID password when prompted.
  3. Right-click on the page and select Save Page As
    NOTE: The term Save Page As may vary depending on your browser.
  4. Save the SAS data file to your computer.
    NOTE: Make sure you remember where you save the file.
  5. Close SAS.
  6. Click Start.
  7. Click Programs.
  8. Select SAS and select SAS 9.1 Utilities.
    NOTE: The version number varies depending on your installation.
  9. Right click Renew SAS Software and select Run as Administrator.
  10. Browse to the SAS Data file that you downloaded in step 4.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Verify the operating system and SAS products and click OK.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Click Renew.
If the license renewal was successful, the following message will be displayed:
The setinit was successfully applied.
