Insert an Image in the Text Editor in Desire2Learn

Insert Image

You can use the HTML Text Editor in various places throughout D2L. The HTML Text Editor has two views: Basic and Advanced. Below is the steps to use the Basic View to insert an image.

  1. To insert an image below the text “Week 1″, for example, put the cursor to where you want your image to be and click the Insert an Image icon.
  2. To select the image:
    • If the image is on your computer:
    1. Click on My Computer in the left navigation bar.
    2. Click Browse to select the file from your computer.
    3. Click Upload.
    • If the image is already in your D2L course files:
    1. Click on Course Offering Files in the left navigation bar.
    2. Select the File you want to submit.
    3. Click Select File.

  3. Enter some descriptive text for the image in the “Alternative Text” box then click OK.

NOTE: If the image is too big or small, click on the image and you will see “handles” that you can drag to resize the image. This handles look like three little square around the image.
