Using Attendance in iCollege

This document gives you the overview of how to create attendance registry in your course and how to track attendance of your students.

Attendance


Create a New Attendance Register

  1. In the iCollege Homepage, select your course
    collaborate-room-01
  2. Within your Course Homepage:
    1. Click Communications
    2. Click Attendance

  3. Within the Attendance Registers page, click New Register
    attendance-icollege-02
  4. In the New Register page:
    1. Enter the Name for your new Register
    2. Enter the Description for your new Register
    3. Choose Attendance Scheme
    4. Enter the Cause for Concern (%)
    5. Check the Visibility box if you want students to be able to view their class attendance
    6. Select Users to be included in the register
    7. Enter a Session Name and Session Description
      NOTE: You may include additional Sessions, For Example: Online Study Session
    8. Click Save

Tracking Student’s Attendance

  1. Within your Course Homepage:
    1. Click Communications
    2. Click Attendance

  2. Within the Attendance Registers page, click the Name of your register

  3. Click edit-iconto edit your session
    attendance-icollege-05
  4. Within the Set Attendance Data page:
    1. Click large-down-arrow
    2. Choose P (Present) or A (Absent)
    3. Click Save

    NOTE: To set status for all students:

    1. Click Set Status for All Users

    3. Within the Pop-up window, click large-down-arrow

    5. Within the Set Status for All Users page:
      1. SelectP (Present) or A (Absent) for all students
      2. Click Save

    6. In the new Pop-up window, click Save
